The Fiat Ducato comes in a variety of sizes too!

Why should you consider a Fiat Ducato rather than a Ford Transit or a Vauxhall Movano?

I'll give you at least 19 good reasons right now!

  1. Even the short wheelbase Ducato can take an 8x4 sheet of plywood, plasterboard etc. flat between it's wheelarches or on its edge with room to spare.

  2. Because the Ducato's load floor is longer and wider than others, as well as having a higher roof, you get a massive 8m3 on even the smallest version!

  3. The smallest Ducato can also carry 1155kg (a 260 Transit SWB can only carry 948kg - more than 200kg less!

  4. Ford's 2.2TDCi engine puts out a standard 85bhp, whilst the Fiat gives you 100bhp from the same size engine, and along with the extra power you also get better fuel economy too!

  5. The huge door mirrors on the Ducato are electrically adjustable and heated for safety and convenience - most manufacturers charge you extra for them.

  6. For extra driver comfort you also get electric windows - no more stretching if you need to open the passenger side window.

  7. The cab also has a cool box in the dashboard, so you can keep drinks and more cool whilst you're driving.

  8. If you like your music whilst you're on the move you might also appreciate the radio/CD/MP3 player too.

  9. The Ducato 30 is bigger than you might think!Extra convenience comes with remote control central locking - a new feature over the old model

  10. Security is also improved with dead locking - once the doors are locked, you can only open them with the right remote control or key!

  11. Driver safety is also improved with ABS as standard and Fiat's brake force distribution system which splits the braking force between the front and rear axles, for improved braking efficiency in all conditions.

  12. Fiats' Electronic Stability Program senses emergencies such as swerving to avoid an accident and if needed adjusts the engine and brakes to bring you back in control of the van

  13. The standard variable power steering reduces the amount of effort that you need to steer at either low speeds or when you have a full load. It also adapts to give you the maximum steering precision when your driving fast and don't want the steering to be too light!

  14. To help when you're loading and unloading, Fiat have put lighting in the cargo area too.

  15. Then there are the finishing touches, like a warranty for 3 years/100,000 miles (in fact in the first two years the warranty is unlimited mileage if you're a really heavy mileage operator).

  16. There's also a three year paintwork warranty - any faults with the paintwork will be repaired at no cost to you!

  17. Fiat used to have a reputation for rust, and they're so confident about the anti-perforation techniques these days that they guarantee it for an amazing 8 years!

  18. You also get 1 years' AA membership which will cover you anywhere in Europe, and includes home start and Relay Plus.

  19. At £14,904 (plus vat, road tax and first registration fee), the Ducato is a full £1,252 cheaper than the Transit even though the Transit is out-specified on almost all counts!

  20. Those prices don't reflect our savings for you - we can get you the Ducato 30 SWB with everything shown above for only £9,977 - £4,927 off list price - a 33% discount!

  21. All of these savings bring our leasing cost down to just £44+vat a week - can you afford to say no to that?

  22. Last reason - unlike Ford, Mercedes, VW and others, there are supplies of Ducato available now - so you can have a van to do the job that you want done, at the time that you want it done, and for a minimum cost too!

Now I know that that's more than 19 reasons, but why stop when it's going to well? All in all, I think that you'll agree that the Ducato looks like a seriously good option when you need a good van for not a lot of money!
